How Does Bloom Work?
Bloom is a renewable, restorative foam made with over-abundant algae harvested from lakes and rivers. Harvesting partners collect the excess algae — a resource that can double in size in around 24 hours — separate it from the water, and return clean, filtered water to the ecosystem. Removing the algae before it decomposes also stops it releasing CO₂ and other greenhouse gases.
Every pair of Bloom footwear returns around 70 litres of filtered water and 73 cubic metres of clean air to the environment — a material that restores rather than simply reduces impact.
